Popped in here to get a quick bite and pass some time. Surprised to find out they might have the best Wor Won Ton Mein in town.

We had to run an errand and needed to kill some time. Had been to this place a few times in the past and knew they were always decent. Ordered a Wor figuring no matter how it came out, it would be decent. What was put down in front of me was wonderful.

Immediately you notice a few decent sized shrimp floating in the top, then the won ton, and the abundance of veggies and pork pieces. Then you taste the char siu and sit in amazement. For $8.99, such a deal.

The char siu was delicious. The tons were good. The broth was just right and melded with the noodles to make it a close to perfect WorTM.

I love WTM and this was a great example.

    Keep it up Hong Nein!

Hm, maybe I need to give this place another try.. My co-workers really like it here. It's an easy place, with a large parking lot and the ability to call in an order. The food is made quickly, and dang, do you get your money's worth! The lunch deals are especially good, so if you're on a budget I think you could make this lunch last for at least two, or even three meals, depending on how big your appetite is. Take it from someone who did it. This was my at work lunch for three days.

I got the gau gee min (basically gau gee with noodles, sauce and vegetables). It was good and tasty, but.. Maybe too good? Honestly speaking, I got a stomachache. That's where my co-workers come in, though. They've eaten here for years, not often, but enough to know that this place is A-OK, and my stomachache was an unusual occurrence. The person who ordered with me that day didn't have any pain either, so it really was just me. However, I can't help but be put off, you know? I'm definitely willing to give this place another try, but right now I'm feeling a little uneasy about it. I just thought I'd give my honest two cents. We'll just have to see.

This restaurant has been here for decades, and the current owner has been operating it for about 3 years. The previous owner had develop a strong following of local residents and business people.

It took a few years, but the current owner seems to be building a following. I stopped by for lunch on a Friday, and the restaurant was packed. We usually order noodle dishes when we come, such as oyster sauce chicken with cake noodle or won ton mein. They also serve roast duck and cold ginger chicken. While the food does not compare to the Chinatown restaurants, it is easily accessible and tasty. Due to the change in the community, it is also one of the few sit down Chinese restaurants in the Kalihi area.

The food and service continues to improve.(A couple years ago, I would have rated this only 2 or 3 stars.)

A friend introduced me to this place. I love it!! I typically come here for the beef and chit sum chow fun but I ask for it dry. Why? Because I love my chow fun dry. It's only $8.95

Today, I thought I'd finally try something different for lunch, Sea Bass with vegetable on rice. My choice to venture out from my normal chow fun paid off.

It's a great option for eating something light. Something I have never experience is sautéed cucumber. The veggies consisted of Chinese cabbage, onions, broccoli and cucumber. The veggies with the Sea Bass was so good. I would definitely order it again. I like my food spicy so I added red chili pepper sauce.

They do have Daily lunch specials  from 10:30am - 2pm ranging from $6.95-$7.75. Daily Specials from $8.96-$14.95 and All Day Plates which are over rice  from $7.95-$8.50

It's nothing fancy but so far I like what i've tried. There's parking in the front in case your wondering.
